In A Child's Life!
A kid's birthday is such a great day… but not for everyone.
You may not be aware of it, but then it strikes you. There are so many children in Israel who can't afford to do what we all take for granted when the day arrives each year – to celebrate their birthday!
Facing this painful reality, you may be puzzled – How can such a small donation for a kid's birthday make a difference?
How can a mere $36 make her/him feel like a million dollars?
I racked my brains for years until I came up with the answer.
It's called The Circle Of Giving.
The
Birthday Angels Birthday Party Project's approach is so
effective and
unique, yet the
simplicity is what makes it economical for everybody in the circle.
Party Kit:
We started off by creating “fool-proof” party materials. That was the hard and time-consuming part. Based on our years of experience with kid parties, we created the “do-it-yourself” party kits, with everything needed to make a kid's birthday party (games, cd, stickers, etc.). There’s no need for training, nearly anyone can take the Party Kit and throw a successful party.

Mass Production:
The Party Kit is mass produced and therefore the more kits produced, the cheaper each unit is. This avoid wasted time and money involved in producing hand-made materials one by one.
Collaboration with Pre-Existing Mentoring Organizations:
The biggest expense of a kids birthday party is usually the entertainer. The Birthday Angels projects works in collaboration with pre-existing mentoring organizations such as
Perach (University students that volunteer time with underprivileged children in exchange for a scholarship).
These university students and other volunteers build a year-long relationship with their mentored child, a close connection with the child already exists and all that’s left is to utilize the existing Party Kit to make the kids birthday a real celebration and throw a special party for her/him on their great day.

A TRUE Non-Profit Organization:
The Birthday Angels Project is a non-profit organization. The secret of our success are the many volunteers that are touched by this idea and wish to contribute to our Circle Of Giving in any way they can. Without their in-kind generosity none of this would ever come through.
That's right! The entire project is so
cost-efficient, it utilizes our collective need to volunteer and support a worthwhile cause keeping the cost of production at a minimum.From the entertainer to the design and production of the kits, collaboration with mentoring organizations, distribution of the kits, running the parties, collecting donations, translating and mailing the
Thank You Card from the birthday child, data processing the donor information and the party information, public relations and fundraising… It's all part of this
Circle Of Giving.
