Nearly 30 Israeli children who never had the joy of a birthday party will be celebrating with their friends this year thanks to the generosity, creativity and devotion of Brandon Myers to "Tikkun Olam", the healing of the world.
An almost 13 years old from Gaithersburg, Maryland shoveled snow, held a pizza party at the local pizzeria, babysat and wrote to all the people he knows to tell about Birthday Angels. He has single-handedly raised close to $1000!!
Brandon learned about Birthday Angels when he went online to seek out a meaningful Mitzvah project for his upcoming Bar Mitzvah in May. Becoming a Jewish adult he wanted to find a way to give back to the community.
His compassion for the many children less fortunate than himself motivated him to promote a project that would reflect what he appreciates as his own good fortune.
We salute you for your tremendous activism making the Circle of Giving grow and for making so many children happy in a way they never knew before.
KOL HAKAVOD! And MAZAL TOV on your upcoming Bar Mitzvah.
You should feel very proud. We are all very proud of you.
